Events and Resources

Virtual Events and Activities

An important part of our mission at the Development, Culture, and Health Lab is to use our skills and knowledge to serve the community. We have a series of virtual activities and events designed for children and parents to learn more about child development and have fun!

Book reading videos

Todd Ross reads Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss. Todd says this book was, "a big part of my childhood! I love all the vibrant colors and it makes me feel a deep sense of wanderlust when I look at it."
Samantha Alvarado lee Soñadores de Yuyi Morales para el Mes de la Herencia Hispana. Este es un "gran libro para leer y honrar a las familias inmigrantes hispanas."

"Show and Tell" events

At these live events, families will be invited to sign up for a fun social activity where children can share their favorite books, toys, foods, pets, jokes, or anything they like with each other!

Our first event is coming up on Saturday, October 24 at 3pm! Email us at dchlab@uncg.edu to RSVP and receive a Zoom link!

Every Wednesday, Dr. DeJesus will post a tidbit from her classes to our lab Facebook page! Learn more about her favorite fact, video, or tip that she is teaching students taking classes such as Developmental Psychology and Social/Personality Development.
